Good start...

Reagan spent about 5 minutes hanging out on the potty this morning. No success, but a start!

First movie theater experience

We went to see The Lego Movie yesterday. It started out fine, Reagan instantly fell asleep and Cooper learned about previews. However, after about half an hour Cooper decided the movie was too scary. We tried with him sitting on my lap but he still wasn't having fun, so we left. As we left the mall Reagan declared that he was also scared. Not sure how that happened but I like the brotherly unity!

Will try again next year!

You must admire his persistence!

A few weeks ago Reagan figured out how to open his door. This led to the sound of little feet in the hallway at 2am... 2 days ago I replaced the handle on his door, so that he can no longer open it.

Tonight while trying to figure out how to get out of the room he pushed a very heavy storage box over to the door and then got on it. Unfortunately for him the storage box blocked the door from opening.

Should we start a pool on how long it takes him to figure out how to get it open?

Happy Valentine's Day!

Cooper visits his "big school"

Cooper spent a few hours at Hill House this morning. He will start Reception there in September.

He was slightly reluctant to go in without me, but held it together and left me at the door with a kiss and a hug.

When I picked him up the first thing he said was "big school is fun." Yeah!

A few minutes later he said, "Mommy, I didn't like big school a little bit."
I thought, oh no! I replied,
I "thought you said it was fun?"
Cooper responded, "No, mommy, I just didn't like it a little bit."
Me, "Oh, what didn't you like?"
Cooper, "My hands were cold and the teacher wouldn't let me put them in my pockets."
Me, relieved...

After we went to celebrate with a "ginger ale" and a croissant.

And then picked Reagan up and took a taxi home to celebrate Cooper being a true "big boy"!

My favorite part of my conversation about big school with Cooper had to be when he said to me ""Mommy, at big school I did not pick my nose at all." I made sure he knew I was very proud of him for that. ;)

Cooper, aka Poopa

Reagan just started referring to Cooper by name. I, of course, find his pronunciation adorable. :)

Cooper's 4th Birthday

For Cooper's birthday party he asked that I not invite "any girls". I then said what about the girls in his class, he said "ok, but not a lot of girls". And so it starts...

We went to the National Army Museum where they have a fun soft play area. Cooper had a great time there but was rather uninterested in the games/pizza/cake time I had planned. He just wanted to go home and open his presents. I guess that is to be expected!

I was a bit busy and forgot to take pictures, but managed to snap a few at the end.

At home that night we had another cake for each of the boys and blew out the candles many MANY times!
