A bit of independence developing

Said to me today at the "Dinosaur" museum. (We were on a balcony that overlooks the main exhibit floor. Cooper started to go downstairs and I was following him.)
Bye bye mommy.
Mommy you stay here, I go see somebody.
Bye mommy.
You stay up.
I go downstairs, you stay upstairs.
You stay up there mommy, 
I go see somebody downstairs.
