We went over to Andrew and Puja's house for Cooper's first night out. We left Chris and Andrew alone with Cooper for 10 minutes. . .

Cooper gains weight at his one week check - 4kg

The UK has a really great program where a midwife comes around to your house when you get home from the hospital. The first visit was the day after we got home from the hospital, the second visit was when he was 7 days old. They weigh him (he gained weight!) and prick his heel to get some blood to test him for a variety of things.

It is recommended that he get some sunlight to help fight off jaundice. Hard to find in London in February, so we had to take advantage of all we had.

Weight: 3.85 kg (8.5 lbs)
Head: 37 cm (14.6 inches)
Length: 52 cm (20.5 inches) (We had to do this one at home ourselves as they don't do it in the hospital)

We did not miss a second of Superbowl XLIV

Contractions started: midnight (as the game started)
Contractions became somewhat unbearable: end of 3rd quarter
Contractions got so bad Alexis ended up on all fours: middle of 4th quarter
Contractions being timed: By "iContraction" an app for the iPhone (who knew!)
Left for the hospital: After game ended. . .
